Things you’ve learned from AMA:
During my time at TU-AMA I have learned vital soft skills necessary for any business student. These include leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. In addition to soft skills, my position as Director of Professional Development has led me to be well versed in professional outreach and communication as well planning and executing events. The biggest thing I learned from TU-AMA is the importance of networking. I found that networking has opened me up to many opportunities to learn through professionals. It also helped me figure out what skills I need to work on to further my skillset during my professional journey.
What do you plan to do in the future and how has AMA impacted this?
In the future I would like to work within the sports or music industry and use my position to make a real impact on the organization I work for. TU-AMA has had a strong impact on my future plans as my time here has provided me with numerous great connections from these industries that I have had the chance to learn and grow from. Whether it was an informational interview or a speaker brought in, I was able to build a meaningful connection and possibly get my foot in the door for future opportunities with those companies.
