Temple University American Marketing Association (TU-AMA) kicked off our Fall 2020 volunteering with Cradles to Crayons! This past weekend, on October 24th, five TU-AMA members safely volunteered at Cradles to Crayons. Volunteers separated, quality checked, and restocked clothing donations at The Giving Factory.
Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides local disadvantaged children with the essentials they need, such as clothing, school supplies, and toys. Since its founding in 2002, Cradles to Crayons has helped over 1.7 million children. Community and corporate donations help Cradles to Crayons in their mission to support children, but volunteers are just as important. Anyone who wishes to get involved can sign up to volunteer via their website or start a local donation drive.
Through this experience, our members learned the importance of having quality clothes, toys, and school supplies as a young child. Cradles to Crayons allows TU-AMA members to provide disadvantaged children with what they need to feel confident and secure. Our time volunteering at Cradles to Crayons is far from over and we look forward to future opportunities!
